MAN ABOUT TOWN X HEDI SLIMANE X LOS ANGELES
I did not expect to see Hedi Slimane cover the city of angels. Slimane’s take on Los Angeles is a stark contrast to the stereotypical L.A. I imagined, where Paris Hilton look-alikes roam the streets. Hedi Slimane’s work is what initially sparked my long love affair with not only Berlin but with black & white photography (post-Robert Frank that is). His take on Los Angeles is alluring in the ever so punk-rock-slimane-way. Perhaps I should have seen this coming as I did meet an extremely young & talented designer who had left Christian Dior himself to live in Los Angeles!
